Erotic Picasso! Shield your eyes!

No matter who the artist, erotic works of art cause a storm of controversy. Not even Picasso is immune, as evidenced by the flap caused in Greece at the Telloglio Arts Centre.

“The works in question have been deemed unsuitable for pupils,” local secondary education director Theodoulos Tapanidis told Kathimerini daily.
“We had to examine the issue after complaints arose,” he said.
“The prints in question are in a separate area and were never part of the school tour anyway,” a centre employee told AFP.

So even though the students would never have seen the art, it’s still a problem?
